Student opportunities and activities
At Stratheden Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.
Our programs may include:
- school sport, athletics and inter-school competitions - Community of Learning Among Small Schools Carnivals, Zone and Regional Carnivals, Cross Country.
- creative and performing arts groups and showcases -Casino/ Kyogle Performing Arts Festival
- cultural activities- NAIDOC Day and CWA Country of Study
- excursions and incursions including combined excursion to Canberra for our Years Five and Six students
- public speaking and debating -Premier's Spelling Bee
- CLUBS - screen printing, art activities, construction.
- student leadership opportunities- SRC (Student Representative Council), GRIP leadership
- activities that support high potential and gifted learners - Instructor activities, art displays, targetted sport activities.

Sporting Events
Students have the opportunity to learn and compete in a large variety of sports, for example, Touch Footy, Hockey, Swimming.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
Excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
